In early 1993 the Mavis's released their first extended play, Spindrift, via the Slipped Discs label and Mushroom Distribution Service (MDS). Its five tracks were recorded by Dave Nelson and mixed and produced by Nelson with Paul Barker. Cameron Adams of Beat Magazine described it in February 1993 as "Recorded live at The Empress – and sounding all the better for it – The Mavis's make pop which is edgy and ace fun. From the rollicking 'Spinning Top' to the very cool 'Bless My Soul' it is a fine EP. Best of all is the opener 'Juggernaut', all harmony and melody. Thanks to Sunny

Yello , Shirley Bassey - 1987 - The Rhythm Divine FLAC
The single was released by Yello and Shirley Bassey in 1987 and was the first CD single by Shirley Bassey. Dieter Meier, of the Swiss Electro-group Yello, approached Shirley Bassey in 1987 regarding a possible collaboration. "The Rhythm Divine" was said to have been written specially with her voice in mind. The track was produced by Yello with Hubertus Von Hohenlohe as co-producer. The song also appears on the 1987 Yello album One Second and a remastered and remixed version was released in 1992 on the compilation Essential Yello. This version also appeared in 2003 on the Netherlands album release Het Beste Van Shirley Bassey. In 1989 Yello released a remix medley of several of their songs on the CD single "Of Course I'm Lying", known as the "Metropolitan Mixdown 1989 Part II"; the medley also contains a fragment of "The Rhythm Divine".
Billy MacKenzie, lead singer of The Associates, who had previously worked with Yello on several occasions, provided lyrics and backing vocals. A previously unreleased 12" version of the song, featuring Mackenzie on lead vocals, was issued in 1990 on The Associates compilation Popera.
Bassey's vocals were recorded at Yello's studio in Zurich. The song blends the electro-pop sound of the 1980s with a classic big Bassey ballad and introduced Shirley Bassey to a younger generation. A video featuring both Shirley Bassey and Yello was released on the Yello compilation video Essential Yello in 1992. The song was regularly performed live by Bassey in the following year, albeit with a different orchestral arrangement.

The Fauves - 1997 - Surf City Limits FLAC
Another gem lifted from Lazy Highways and an excellent foray into, dar I say, commercial arrangement, masterfully performed and cruelly under-promoted by an unsuitable record company.

In similar territory It's Not '74 Anymore is a brilliantly weary ode to a legendary roadie from another. Crazy from the Heat is a 1985 EP by American rock musician David Lee Roth. His debut solo recording, it was released while Roth was still lead singer for Van Halen, though he parted ways with the band several weeks later and launched a solo career. The EP is certified platinum by the RIAA, having sold more than one million copies in the United States.

The medley of "Just a Gigolo" and "I Ain't Got Nobody" is based on Louis Prima's 1956 medley combining two pre-World War II songs. This version peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, supported by a well-received music video. DM3 - 1996 - 5 Greasy Pieces CDS FLAC
In late 1992 Dom Mariani formed DM3 with Toni Italiano on bass and Pascal Bartolone (ex-The Summer Suns) on drums. Initially, Ian Campbell was an auxiliary member on lead guitar. In May they issued their first single, "Foolish", and followed in September with they eponymous debut album, One Times, Two Times, Three Red Light, on Citadel Records. The album was produced by the band's members. In 1993 Mariani was inducted into the WAMIA ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll of Renown’. In mid-1994 DM3 undertook a European tour in support of these releases, one of their appearances was on 1 July in Denmark at the Roskilde Festival. That performance was recorded and released in May 2013 as Live (Roskilde Festival 1994). In June 1996 DM3's second album, Road to Rome, appeared. It was produced by the band with Mich Easter.
US writer, John M. Borack, rated the album at No. 11 in his list of The 200 Greatest Power Pop Albums, as it demonstrated "a sublime concoction of equal parts '90s pop power and '60s melodicism" with tracks full of "meaty, beaty, big and ballsy guitar riffs living in a state of sheer bliss with non-cliched lyrics". An EP, 5 Greasy Pieces, was released that same year, while a compilation of b-sides and out takes, Garage Sale, was issued the following year. US label Bomp! Records also issued a compilation, Dig It the Most, in support of the band's 1997 tour. That year Italiano left and was replaced by ex-The Stems, bass guitarist, Matthews. DM Three's third album, Rippled Soul, appeared in September 1998. In 1999 Jeff Baker joined on guitar but the group disbanded later that year. Price declared that DM3 could "arguably be called the best power pop band ever to come out of Australia".
