Mach Pelican - 1998 - Blue Sky

Mach Pelican were a punk rock band formed in Perth, Australia in 1996. In 1998, they relocated to Melbourne, Australia. They announced their farewell tour in July 2007, and played their final show in Tokyo, Japan on 17 September 2007. The band was formed by three Japanese students who were studying English in Perth in 1996. After touring extensively, Mach Pelican moved to Melbourne in 1998.

Ghostwriters - 1991 - Ghostwriters

 Ghostwriters (aka Rob Hirst & the Ghostwriters and sometimes referred to as Ghosties by fans) are an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1990, principally involving Midnight Oil drummer Rob Hirst and Hoodoo Gurus bassist Richard Grossman. Their highest charting single was "Someone's Singing New York New York" (1991) written by Hirst, it reached No. 29 on the ARIA Australian Singles Chart.

Master's Apprentices with Hoodoo Gurus - 1995 - Turn Up Your Radio

The Hoodoo Gurus are another great Australian band influenced by the Masters. The single manages to capture the raw energy of the original with everybody having a good time in the studio. Recorded to celebrate the Masters 30th anniversary in 1995. Has two mixes of the new recording plus the original.

Seven Stories - 1993 - Prince of Hollywood

Seven Stories was an Australian rock group formed in Adelaide, initially as Tall Stories, in 1986. The band was nominated as 'Best New Talent' at the 1991 Australian Record Industry Association (ARIA) Awards and signed to Sony (then CBS Records), but disbanded in 1994 after its second full-length album release, Everything You Want (Nothing That You Need).

Guy Sebastian - 2003 - Angels Brought Me Here

 "Angels Brought Me Here" (aka "Faith Has Brought Me Here") is a pop song performed by Australian singer Guy Sebastian. It was released in Australia on 24 November 2003 as the lead single from his debut album Just as I Am (2003).

"Angels Brought Me Here" peaked at number-one on the ARIA Singles Chart. It was the first of 12 top ten and six number-one singles for Sebastian in Australia. "Angels Brought Me Here"'s first week sales were at the time the highest one week's sales on record for both an Australian artist and a debut artist. It currently still has the second highest one week sales for an Australian artist single. The song was certified as four times platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) and sold in excess of 303,000 units. In January 2010 "Angels Brought Me Here" was announced as the highest selling single of the decade (2000–2009). Until 2011 the song held the record as the highest selling Australian artist single in Australian chart history. "Angels Brought Me Here" was also popular in New Zealand, topping the RIANZ Singles Chart and achieving platinum certification.

Savage Garden - 1999 - I Knew I Loved You

"I Knew I Loved You" is a song by Australian pop duo Savage Garden, released as the second single from their second studio album, Affirmation. The song went straight to number one on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the band's second number one in the United States after "Truly Madly Deeply". After its third week at number one, the single was knocked off by Mariah Carey's "Thank God I Found You" featuring Joe and 98 Degrees. It later returned to the top again the following week for its fourth and final week at the top.

It was the last song by an Australian artist to reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for over 12 years until Gotye peaked at number one with his single "Somebody That I Used to Know" (featuring Kimbra) in 2012.

Pretty Violet Stain -1998 - If The Money's Right

Pretty Violet Stain (1996-2001)  The Brisbane-based 3-piece released a self-funded EP 'Blush', and soon signed a deal with major label Warner. The track "She Keeps Souvenirs" from their 'If The Money's Right' EP became a Triple J anthem, seeing their popularity rise through appearances at such festivals as Homebake. Following their split in 2001, frontman Shane Nicholson started a solo career and soon after married country music superstar Kasey Chambers.

Deni Hines - 1995 - It's Alright

Dohnyale "Deni" Sharon Hines (born 4 September 1970 in Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian solo artist who had moderate chart success in the 1990s in Australia and New Zealand. She is the daughter of Marcia Hines.

Hines released her first single with the Australian band Rockmelons with a cover version of the Bill Withers 1971 hit "Ain't No Sunshine". She then went to release solo material with the top five single "It's Alright"

Flash and the Pan was an Australian new wave musical group (essentially an ongoing studio project) initiated during the late 1970s by Harry Vanda and George Young, both former members of The Easybeats. The duo's first success was their 1976 debut single "Hey St. Peter" which reached number 5 in the Australian singles chart. The next single "And the Band Played On (Down Among The Dead Men)" went one better and reached number 4 in Australia in 1977. Living On Dreams was lifted from their 1992 album Burning up the Night

Electric Hippies - 1993 - Greedy People

Steve Balbi and Justin Stanley from the now defunct Noiseworks formed the psychedelic pop group Electric Hippies in 1993 and had top 30 success with the single, "Greedy People", and debut album, Electric Hippies both released in 1994.
