Severed Heads - 1994 - Dead Eyes Opened FLAC

Jen Anderson is an violinist and composer of international repute.

She has toured and recorded with many of Australia’s best known rock, folk and country artists, including the Black Sorrows (89-93), Weddings Parties Anything (93-98), Tim Rogers (You Am I), Tiddas, Archie Roach, Ruby Hunter and The Waifs.

Jen is also a composer of note, with numerous film and television show scores to her credit.

Cleopatra Wong - 1992 - Egg FLAC

 


Lindy Morrison and Amanda Brown were members of the seminal Australian band, The Go-Betweens, playing together on their albums "Tallulah" (1987) and "16 Lovers Lane (1988). When the band broke up Morrison and Brown joined forces as Cleopatra Wong in 1991-1992. During this time, they recorded the mini-albums "Egg" and "Cleopatra's Lament".

Catherine Wheel - 1992 - Self Portraits FLAC


Catherine Wheel was a band formed in Sydney by Andrea Croft (vocals, guitar), Grant Shanahan (bass, vocals) and Brett Thomson (drums) when they all left The Honeys. They released several singles, initially as a trio, then adding "Biff" Smith. Smith was replaced by Matt Handley (guitar, vocals) for this, their final release.

Andrea Croft went on to work with Pollyanna and Splinter with Suzie Higgie of The Falling Joys. In 2007 Croft,  Shanahan and Bruce Begley reformed The Honeys and recorded the "Star Baby" album.

Reid and Babyface, was released by Arista Records as the lead single on October 2, 1990 from the album. The single features a B-side, "Feels So Good", which has not been featured on any Whitney Houston album. While the original version, produced by L.A. Reid and Babyface, was released in the United States, the Yvonne Turner mix (also known as the "European Version" or the "International Version"), was released in other countries.

“I’m Your Baby Tonight” became a huge hit for Houston, reaching top-ten positions worldwide. It reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, her eighth single to do so; "I'm Your Baby Tonight" is also her fifth biggest hit in the United States. "I'm Your Baby Tonight" was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Houston was nominated for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance with this song at the 33rd Grammy Awards.

 "I'll Be Your Baby Tonight" is a 1967 song by Bob Dylan first released on John Wesley Harding. In 1990, Robert Palmer and UB40 released a cover version of the song. Jan Hellriegel - 1995 - Manic (Is A State Of Mind) FLAC


 

 Jan Hellriegel is a singer/songwriter based in Auckland, New Zealand. Her first recorded appearances were in Dunedin band Working With Walt in the mid-1980s when Jan studied at the University of Otago in Dunedin. She then formed all-woman band Cassandra's Ears, moving back to Auckland and going solo in the early 90s. Hellriegel has released four solo studio albums, "It's My Sin" 1992, "Tremble" 1995, "All Grown Up" 2009, and "Sportsman of the Year" in 2019. She has toured with and supported many international acts including The Cure, Jeff Buckley, David Byrne, Diesel, and Ron Sexsmith. Cruel Sea - 1991 - I Feel FLAC


 

 The Cruel Sea are an Australian indie rock band from Sydney, New South Wales formed in late 1987. Originally an instrumental-only band, they became more popular when fronted by vocalist Tex Perkins (Beasts of Bourbon and solo) in addition to Jim Elliott on drums, Ken Gormly on bass guitar, Dan Rumour on guitar and James Cruickshank on guitar and keyboards. A single, "I Feel" was released in September 1991 ahead of their second album, This Is Not the Way Home issued in October. "I Feel" was not a huge success hitting #175 in the top 200.
